Owner Occupied Repair - Disaster Recovery

The Owner Occupied Repair - Disaster Recovery (OOR-DR) Program provides up to $20,000 in repair assistance to eligible homeowners in our 10 county coverage area, who have experienced property damage from a natural disaster.

Who Is Eligible To Apply:

  • You own and live in your home

  • Your home is in one of the ten eligible counties

  • Your income is at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI)

  • You had homeowner’s insurance but repairs exceeded coverage

  • Your home was damaged in a declared or documented natural disaster

This assistance is for property repairs only. It does not cover personal belongings or insurance deductibles. Applications are reviewed first-complete, first-served. Applications available by request.

Repairs We Can Help With:

  • Structural damage

  • Electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs

  • Mold or water damage

  • Radon or lead-based paint hazards

  • Safety-related interior damage (flooring, drywall, etc.)

How Assistance Works:

  • 50% is forgivable over 10 years if you remain in the home

  • 50% is repaid at the time of sale or transfer

  • 0% interest and no monthly payments

How To Apply:

  • Complete the standard NextPoint Owner Occupied Rehab (OOR) application

  • Submit the OOR-DR supplemental form

  • Provide income, insurance, and damage documentation
