Ways We Help
At NextPoint Home Development, we are dedicated to strengthening communities and improving lives through a variety of housing and support programs. From affordable housing and home repairs to education and pathways to homeownership, our initiatives provide families and individuals with the resources, guidance, and stability they need to thrive. By addressing both immediate housing needs and long-term community development, we help people put down roots, build stronger futures, and create lasting impact across central Nebraska—because everyone deserves a place to grow.
Owner Occupied Housing Rehab
The Owner Occupied Repair (OOR) Program provides financial assistance to low- to moderate-income homeowners for essential home repairs that address health, safety, and accessibility concerns. Cosmetic improvements or general remodeling projects are not eligible.
Low Income Housing
Our Tenant Education program equips renters with the knowledge and skills to maintain their homes, understand their rights and responsibilities, and build financial stability for the future.
Tenant Education
The Disaster Recovery program provides urgent financial and repair assistance to homeowners affected by natural disasters. It helps families restore safety, accessibility, and livability to their homes when they need it most.
Owner Occupied Housing Rehab Disaster Recovery
Through our Home Buyer Education program, participants learn the essentials of purchasing and maintaining a home. The program covers budgeting, financing, and homeownership responsibilities, preparing families for long-term success.
Home Buyer Education
NextPoint Home Development currently manages two affordable housing properties and supports the creation of additional housing for low-income individuals and families. Our work provides safe, stable homes while contributing to stronger, more vibrant communities.
Lead Paint Testing
NextPoint offers lead paint testing and safety guidance to ensure homes are healthy and safe for families, particularly those with young children. This program helps prevent exposure to hazardous materials in older housing.
Lease to Own Homes
Our Lease-to-Own Homes program offers an affordable path to homeownership for families and individuals. Participants lease a home while building equity, with support to prepare for long-term ownership. The program provides stability and the opportunity to achieve the dream of owning a home, helping families put down roots in their communities.
Community Impact & Engagement
We work closely with local residents, organizations, and stakeholders to strengthen communities through outreach, volunteer efforts, and programs that improve housing, resources, and overall quality of life.
