Owner Occupied Repair
The Owner Occupied Repair (OOR) Program provides financial assistance to low- to moderate-income homeowners for essential home repairs that address health, safety, and accessibility concerns. Cosmetic improvements or general remodeling projects are not eligible.
Program Details
Serving Adams, Buffalo, Clay, Hall, Hamilton, Howard, Kearney, Merrick, Nuckolls, and Webster Counties.
Maximum Award: Up to $40,000 per home
Repayment Terms:
50% forgiven over 10 years while the home remains your primary residence
50% due upon sale, transfer, or conversion to rental use
Eligible Properties:
Must be your primary residence
Household income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for your county
Home must have current homeowner’s insurance and have been insured for at least 12 months
Must be real property capable of having a lien filed against it
Manufactured homes or trailers on leased land are not eligible
